Panchang for your timezone, sunrise + sunset for your latitude, transits to the second. The muhurat for Mumbai at noon is not the muhurat for New Jersey at noon — we compute yours.

Question

I want to buy a car in early March. Best date?

Three candidates in your window. Mar 4 (Wed, Ashwini nakshatra, Krishna Saptami) — excellent for vehicle purchase per MC 14, but a Wednesday morning rahu kalam (10:30-12:00 IST) blocks the best slot. Mar 6 (Fri, Rohini nakshatra) — Rohini is classical "swift-completion" nakshatra, ideal. Mar 11 (Wed, Pushya) — Pushya is the most auspicious nakshatra full stop. Recommendation: Mar 6 morning before 11:00 IST, or Mar 11 afternoon Abhijit muhurta.

FAQ

Why does the muhurat vary by location?

Three reasons: timezone (the panchang for your day starts at your sunrise, not anywhere else’s), latitude (sunrise + sunset times that anchor the day’s segments), and longitude (planetary degrees move by location). A 30-minute drive does not change the muhurat much; an international move does.

Is the muhurat finder free?

Yes — basic muhurat lookup is free for all common activities. Pro and Max users get the long-range planner (search across multiple months for the best window).

What if I cannot use any of the recommended windows?

The engine surfaces the "best available" windows in your date range and explains the trade-off. If nothing is auspicious in your range, the recommendation is to extend the range — but the choice is yours.
