1. Introduction and acceptance
In plain English: These are the rules for using MyPanditji. Using the app, the website or the WhatsApp service means you agree to them.
MyPanditji is operated by Grupo Sineva Inc., a Delaware corporation (“MyPanditji”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MyPanditji website (mypanditji.io), the iOS and Android apps, the Panditji WhatsApp service, and everything we offer through them (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, signing in, using the Service as a guest, or messaging Panditji on WhatsApp, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Policy and Community Rules are part of these Terms. If any of them conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail.
2. Some words we use
In plain English: Plain meanings for the capitalised words in this document.
3. Who may use MyPanditji
In plain English: You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. Guests must meet the same rule.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract where you live. We check your date of birth at sign-up and may close an account that does not meet this rule. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and Guests must meet the same age rule.
You may save the birth details of other people (family or friends) only if you have their permission and — for anyone under 18 — only if you are their parent or guardian. Readings for a minor are deliberately limited to gentle, supportive guidance.
You may use the Service only where it is lawful to do so, and not from any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions by India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United Nations.
4. Your account
In plain English: One account per person, accurate details, and keep it safe. Tell us if someone else gets in.
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your WhatsApp number or email, or with a password if you set one. Keep your codes and password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account, and you must tell us at support@mypanditji.io straight away if you think someone else has used it.
The details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date — readings are only as good as the birth details behind them. You may hold one account; creating extra accounts to get around limits, trials, bans or quotas is not allowed. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.
If you continue as a Guest, your conversation is stored under an anonymous session on your device and, if you sign up within 7 days, is carried into your account. Guest sessions have a message limit and are deleted after 7 days of inactivity.
5. What the Service is
In plain English: Vedic astrology calculated exactly and explained by AI, across chat modes and features. Some of it is paid.
MyPanditji calculates Vedic charts from your birth details and uses AI to explain them, grounded in a library of classical texts. Depending on your plan and platform, the Service includes:
We may add, change, limit or withdraw features at any time. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
6. AI readings — tradition, not proof
In plain English: Readings interpret a tradition. They are not facts, not predictions you can rely on, and never medical, legal or financial advice.
Every Reading is produced by software: precise astronomical calculation, then an AI model expressing classical texts in conversation. A Reading reflects a tradition, not proof. It can be incomplete, can paraphrase a source imperfectly, can misread your question, and can differ from one day to the next. No astrologer — human or AI — can foretell the future with certainty.
You agree that:
Remedies (upayas) are described as classical practice, never as guarantees. Our Disclaimer explains all of this in more detail and forms part of these Terms.
7. Plans, subscriptions and billing
In plain English: The free tier is free. Pro and Max renew automatically until you cancel. Prices and taxes are shown before you pay.
The free tier gives you Kundli, horoscope, Panchang, Normal chat and other features within the limits shown in the app. Pro and Max are paid Subscriptions, billed in advance monthly or annually, and we may offer other plans (for example a WhatsApp-only plan) from time to time.
Where you buy decides who bills you:
The price, currency, billing period and any taxes are shown before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time — in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings for store purchases, or from the Subscription page on the website or by emailing support@mypanditji.io for web purchases — and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
We may change prices. A change applies from your next renewal, and we will give existing subscribers at least 30 days’ notice in the app or by email. Prices in your local app store may differ because of the store’s pricing and currency rules.
8. Free trials and promotions
In plain English: A trial converts to a paid plan unless you cancel before it ends. One trial per person.
We may offer a free trial (for example 7 days of Pro). A trial is available once per person, may require a payment method, and converts to a paid Subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. Cancelling during the trial ends access when the trial ends, and you are not charged. Store trials are governed by the store’s rules as well as ours.
Promotional prices, coupons and referral rewards are offered at our discretion, may be limited in time or number, cannot be combined unless we say so, and may be withdrawn or corrected if they were granted in error or obtained by abuse.
9. Credits and rewards
In plain English: Prediction credits are pay-per-use. Streak and referral rewards are bonuses. None of them is cash.
Prediction credits are one-time purchases, spent one per prediction. Streak rewards and referral rewards grant free readings, free days of Pro, or credits, as described in the app. All Credits and rewards are personal to your account, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or refunded once used, and lapse when your account is closed. We may change how rewards are earned, and we may remove rewards obtained through fraud, multiple accounts or self-referral.
10. Refunds and cancellation
In plain English: Apple and Google handle their own refunds. On the web, write to us within 30 days of a mistaken charge.
Refunds depend on where you bought:
We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused part of a billing period unless the law requires it. Credits already spent are not refundable. Nothing in this section removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
11. Fair use and limits
In plain English: Each plan has limits. The heavy modes are for personal, one-at-a-time use.
Each plan includes the number of readings, Deep Research runs, Max Council sessions and other allowances shown in the app, and we may apply rate limits to keep the Service reliable. Max Council and Deep Research cost far more to run than an ordinary reply and are meant for thoughtful, personal, one-at-a-time use. Machine-paced or bulk use is treated as abuse and may be throttled, and persistent abuse may lead to suspension. The Acceptable Use Policy has the full rules.
12. Your Content and the licence you give us
In plain English: Your data stays yours. We use it only to run the Service for you. We never sell it or train models on it.
You own Your Content. By submitting it you give MyPanditji a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit and display it solely to operate, secure and improve the Service for you — including sending it to the AI providers named in our Privacy Policy to generate your Readings. The licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except where we must keep it under section 20 or by law.
Community posts are different: by posting you allow us to show the post to other users, under the identity mode you chose, for as long as it remains posted.
You are responsible for Your Content — in particular for having permission to store another person’s birth details or to upload a photo of someone else. We do not sell Your Content, do not use it to train AI models, and do not share it with advertisers.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
13. Acceptable use
In plain English: Use it yourself, honestly. No scraping, no abuse, no harm to others.
You agree not to:
The Acceptable Use Policy sets out these rules in full and is part of these Terms.
14. Community
In plain English: Be kind, stay on topic, and follow the Community Rules. We moderate and act on reports.
The Community is a shared space. The Community Rules apply to everything you post and are part of these Terms. You choose whether a post shows your real name, a display name, or is anonymous; anonymity hides your identity from other users, not from us, and we may still act on a post that breaks the rules. We moderate automatically and by hand, other users can report content, and we may hide, remove or restrict content or accounts without notice. We are not responsible for what other users post and do not endorse it. Readings you share by link can be opened by anyone who has the link.
15. Intellectual property
In plain English: The app, our prompts, our indices and our brand are ours. The classical texts are public domain. Your Readings are yours to use personally.
The Service — the apps, the website, the software, the system prompts and agent designs, the knowledge-base infrastructure, our annotations, chunking and embeddings, the artwork, and the MyPanditji and Panditji names and logos — belongs to MyPanditji and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. The classical Sanskrit and regional texts themselves are in the public domain; our editions, glosses and indices are not.
Readings, charts and other output generated for your account are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use, including saving, printing and sharing screenshots. You may not redistribute Readings at scale, use them to train a competing model, or remove attribution. Apart from what these Terms allow, no rights are granted.
16. Third-party services and app stores
In plain English: We rely on named providers, each with its own terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service.
The Service depends on third parties, including Google (Vertex AI, Places, Gemini, Analytics and Calendar), OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Supabase, Fly.io, Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Stripe, Resend, Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform, Pixel and Conversions API), Expo, Firebase, PostHog, Sentry and Microsoft Clarity. Our Privacy Policy explains what each receives. Their services are subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them or for any website we link to.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store’s terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms, have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and are not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
17. Notifications and communications
In plain English: We will send service messages. Everything else you can switch off.
By using the Service you agree to receive service messages — one-time codes, receipts, security notices and notices about changes to these Terms — by push notification, email or WhatsApp. Daily horoscopes, transit alerts, reminders, newsletters, offers and WhatsApp messages from Panditji are sent only as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can switch each one off in Settings, with the unsubscribe link, or by replying STOP on WhatsApp.
18. Privacy
In plain English: Our Privacy Policy says what we collect and why. In the app you are asked before any data goes to an AI provider.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with — including the AI providers that receive your questions, birth details and photos — how long we keep it, and your rights, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the GDPR. It is part of these Terms. In the app you will be asked, before your first reading, for explicit permission to send your data to our AI providers; you can withdraw that permission at any time in Settings.
19. Beta and experimental features
In plain English: Anything labelled Beta or Preview can break or disappear.
Features labelled Beta, Preview, Early Access or similar are provided “as is”, may change or be withdrawn at any time, and may have known and unknown issues. Feedback you give on them may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
20. Ending your account
In plain English: You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close it for breaking the rules.
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Your data → Delete everything, by replying DELETE on WhatsApp, or by emailing support@mypanditji.io. Deleting your account removes Your Content as described in the Privacy Policy. An active Subscription continues until the end of the paid period unless you also cancel it with the store or with us; we do not pro-rate refunds unless the law requires it.
We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the Community Rules; if your account is involved in fraud or chargebacks; if the law requires it; or if continuing would expose us or others to harm. Where practical we will tell you why and how to appeal (support@mypanditji.io).
Sections that by their nature should survive — including 6, 12, 15 and 21 to 28 — survive the end of your account.
21. No warranty
In plain English: The Service is provided as is. We do not promise it is always available or always right.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY READING IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR RELIABLE, OR WILL COME TRUE.
Some laws do not allow these exclusions; where that is the case they apply to the fullest extent the law permits, and nothing in these Terms takes away rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
22. Limitation of liability
In plain English: We are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, MYPANDITJI AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, PARTNERS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR CONNECTED WITH THE SERVICE OR ANY READING, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE. THIS INCLUDES ANY DECISION YOU MAKE IN RELIANCE ON A READING.
Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid MyPanditji in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) one hundred Indian Rupees (INR 100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
23. Indemnity
In plain English: If your breach gets us sued, you cover our costs.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless MyPanditji and its officers, employees, contractors and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (i) your breach of these Terms or any policy that forms part of them; (ii) your violation of any law or of anyone’s rights; (iii) Your Content, including birth details or photos of others that you had no right to submit; or (iv) decisions you take in reliance on a Reading contrary to section 6.
24. Events beyond our control
In plain English: Outages, disasters and third-party failures are not breaches by either side.
Neither of us is liable for failing to perform (other than paying money owed) because of events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government orders, labour disputes, cyber-attacks, or failures of the internet, public utilities, or the third-party platforms and AI providers we depend on.
25. Resolving disputes
In plain English: Talk to us first — 30 days. If that fails, arbitration seated in Houston, Texas, with protections for consumers elsewhere.
If you have a problem, email support@mypanditji.io with the details and give us 30 days to resolve it in good faith. Users in India may also use the Grievance Officer channel in section 27.
Any dispute we cannot resolve that way will be finally settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Houston, Texas, United States, before a single arbitrator, in English. The arbitrator’s award is final and binding. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction, and either of us may seek urgent or injunctive relief from a court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
If you are a consumer living outside the United States, nothing in this section takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring proceedings there.
26. Governing law
In plain English: Texas law and Harris County courts, subject to arbitration — and to the mandatory laws of your own country.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to section 25, the state and federal courts in Harris County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction.
This choice of law does not override mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection rights you hold under the law of your country of residence. In particular, users in India keep every right given by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them, including the grievance process in section 27.
27. Users in India — Grievance Officer
In plain English: Our Grievance Officer acknowledges within 24 hours and resolves within 15 days. You can go to the Data Protection Board if not satisfied.
In line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we have appointed a Grievance Officer for complaints about the Service, content on it, or the handling of your personal data.
Grievance Officer, MyPanditji
Email: support@mypanditji.io
Address: MyPanditji (Grupo Sineva Inc.), 1000 Main St, Houston, TX, United States
We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days of receipt. Include your name, the email address or WhatsApp number on your account, what happened and when, and what you would like us to do. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate a data-protection grievance to the Data Protection Board of India. Our Grievance Officer page has the full procedure.
28. General terms
In plain English: Severability, no assignment without consent, entire agreement, and the English version governs.
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be applied as far as the law allows and the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms or your account without our written consent; we may assign them to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and this agreement continues to apply.
These Terms, with the policies that form part of them and any in-product notices, are the whole agreement between you and MyPanditji about the Service and replace any earlier agreement. We may offer the Service and these Terms in other languages for convenience; if a translation differs from the English version, the English version governs. Notices to you may be given in the app, by email or by WhatsApp; notices to us go to support@mypanditji.io.
29. Changes to these Terms
In plain English: Material changes come with 30 days’ notice. Keep using the Service and you accept them.
We may revise these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the app, on the website or by email before they take effect; the date at the top always shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not, stop using the Service and cancel any Subscription before the change takes effect.
30. Contact us
In plain English: One inbox for everything.
